Participate in our Family Sing-Along!​

​

We are having our 1st Inaugural Atlanta Children's Choir Family Sing-a-long! Click HERE for our flyer! We will perform a mini concert of 5 songs that the entire family is sure to enjoy! Once you register we will have your folder(s) with sheet music for pick up at The Atlanta Friends Meeting. The registration fee for the Family Sing-Along is $99 and each family member participating in the event is $10. For example, a family of 4 would pay $99 + $40 for a total of $139 for this event.

Register for our Choral Season this October!​​​

​

Our choral season begins on October 10th, 2024. Here are a few things to know about membership in The Atlanta Children's Choir. ​​

​

  • We have rolling admissions! We have singers of all experience levels and know that children can learn very quickly! For this reason we will be accepting passionate singers through the last week of October who are interested in joining our growing ensemble!​

​​

  • Our rehearsals take place at The Atlanta Friends Meeting. 701 W. Howard Ave. Decatur, GA 30030. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

  • Complete your choir application by clicking here.​​​

  • A special tuition fee of $99.00 is for the Fall choral season. Singers who wish to participate in fall and spring have a tuition fee of $150, if paid in the Fall. Singers who join during our 2025 Spring season or decided to continue in the Spring will have a tuition fee of $99.00. These rates allow us to operate while also giving Atlanta area families access to our children's choral program.  Click the DONATE tab to make your $99.00 or $150.00 payment OR you can pay when completing the choir application form. Also feel free to sponsor a child by clicking the same DONATE tab and putting "sponsorship" in the comments section.​​

  • Rehearsals are each Thursday at 5:30pm to 6:30pm, however there are exceptions for City Schools of Decatur holidays and breaks. See our rehearsal calendar.

Auditions are not mandatory! Read on to find out why!

After ruminating upon my childhood choral experiences, I realized that many of the best moments came from a desire and eagerness to sing, and not my vocal ability. In fact, I was incredibly shy back then, and would have been terrified to audition in front of someone I didn't know.

 

Many school choirs and church choirs require no audition but with the correct training and technique, the sound can be phenomenal! As we draw in young children to ACC, the audition aspect can cause some apprehension and we want all singers to feel confident using one of the greatest gifts they have to offer, which is their voice!  Consequently, there will be no formal auditions for this season. If your child would like to sing for us after visiting a rehearsal, we can absolutely set this up! Singers should have a:

1.  Completed application. ​

​

2. Perform a 60 second song with or without background music (optional).

​

3. Clap call and response rhythms (optional).

​

4. Perform a sight-reading activity (optional). 

​

​
